The Housing and Dining Committee is committed to improving the atmosphere
and experience of Carnegie Mellon by enriching your lifestyle options on
campus. With a focus on improving the campus residences and eating
locations, the committee works to enhance the both the utility and
enjoyment one can elicit from the spaces available and provided to
students.
Working with the university and the students, the Housing and Dining
Committee serves to ensure students have both a place they are happy to
call home during the school year and a place to happily fill their
stomachs. Interaction between this committee and the Housing and Dining
Departments of CMU allow student concerns and recommendations to be heard.
What’s New?
This year SDC is starting Permanent Property Additions. If your
residential area needs or simply wants a property (ping pong table,
cooking equipment, TV, etc) and presents a completed permanent properties
request form to housing and dining, SDC can vote to cover the expenses for
that equipment so you can get it for your resident space for free!
